PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE OF ARMAGH GALA DINNER
The Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Armagh will conclude with a Gala Dinner in the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown on 26 October 2018.
The hotel can cater for 10 persons per table. Seating of past and current senior officers will be allocated, however if you wish to be seated with fellow Brethren of your choice, please let me know and every effort will be made to facilitate your request. Some Lodges have already indicated that they wish to have a table; this is to be encouraged and will be facilitated as far as possible.
The dinner will be open to Brethren, their wives/partners and their guests including non-masonic friends. It is anticipated that there will be a large demand for tickets which will be allocated on a ‘’first come first served’’ basis.
A sherry reception will commence the evening at 7.00 pm. with the main meal being served at 7.30 pm. sharp. There will be a choice of Chicken or Beef for the main course. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Dress will be dark lounge suits. Tickets are £35 each or 40 Euro.
Booking forms should be completed by Lodge secretaries and forward with remittance for the tickets to V W Bro. G T Irvine, the Provincial Grand Secretary.
Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Provincial Grand Lodge of Armagh’.
A number of rooms are available in the Hotel at a cost of £60 per room for Bed and Breakfast. Rooms should be booked directly with the Hotel, Tel. No. 028 3833 3076, and mention you are attending the Gala Dinner to avail of this rate.
As stated it is anticipated that there will be a large demand for tickets so ensure you book early using the attached Booking Form.

The purpose of the classes of Instruction is to provide an opportunity for the younger Brethren to become versed in the ritual and symbolism of Freemasonry. Also to be able to practise the ritual in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The meetings are usually overseen by the Preceptor (another word for teacher) who is an experienced member of the Lodge. Anyone going into office for the first time should make the classes of instruction a priority; certainly give yourself time to learn before you take office. There is so much to learn and often not enough time to learn it. Learning ritual for the majority of us is role based repetition, there is no “easier” method than constantly reading and repeating, but in a fun environment learning is quicker and enjoyable, give yourself an alternative to learning at home and try the class.
