The Counties of Armagh, Monaghan and Louth Constitute the Masonic Province of Armagh and I am delighted to have the opportunity to welcome you to our official website. Our aim is to provide a broad overview of Freemasonry in the Province of Armagh and to set out the principles of our Order along with history and information about the Lodges and their activities, and especially the charitable work which is undertaken.
Despite common opinion, Freemasonry is not a political or religious organisation. In Fact those two topics are not to be discussed at any Masonic meeting. Freemasonry enables men from different parts of society to meet together as equals, regardless of religious background, political leaning, class or any other social category.
The website is mainly for the dissemination to our Brethren at home and abroad, you are very welcome to enter the site and I would hope you find it interesting and informative. you may contact us for further information. Many people assume that to become a Freemason you have to be invited to join. This is not the case, in fact while members might encourage their friends to join, they do not recruit or invite candidates for membership. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to ask a member or e mail the Provincial Grand Secretary, V W Bro James Blair at email@example.com The year, 2018 marked a milestone in the history of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Armagh, being constituted on the 2nd April 1868 making it our our 150th anniversary. Several events were organised during the year to mark this important milestone in the history of our Provincial Grand Lodge and your support and that of your family and friends was greatly appreciated. The Provincial Grand Lodge had been invited to attend the Choral Evensong service in St. Patricks Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh on Sunday 22 April 2018. Brethren, family and friends were welcomed to the Cathedral by the Dean, the Very Revd. Gregory Dunstan. The First Reading taken from Exodus 16: 4-15 was read by Revd Canon G N Little and the Second Reading taken from Revelation 2: 12-17 was read by the Revd Canon Dr W A Murphy. The congregation were addressed to a very inspiring sermon from the Revd Canon Joyce Moore, Prebendary of Loughgall.
